Ximena looked at her class and smiled, ready for her first class ever. She looked at all the students who were eager to go on and be sorted and learn magic. She found this class to be very important so students wouldn't complain about the lack of role-playing skills other students have.

"Okay class," she said, "Here are the main rules of role-playing at the East American School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

She pointed to the board which said:

Rules for Role-Playing
1. All out of character sentences are to be put in parenthesis and say OOC: before the statement. Please do not carry conversations this way though.

2. All role-playing is done in a story-like fashion. Third person, past tense.

3. You may not control another character unless you have special permission from that character.

4. Keep the language clean for the common courtesy of others.

5. Spell correctly with proper English grammar so others can understand exactly what you're saying.


"Does everyone understand?" Ximena asked as she looked around her class, "If anyone has any questions, please ask them now. If not please write an example role-play and turn it in to me. If I accept, go ahead on to be sorted."

((OOC: Just post your example in some fancy font. If you have questions ask them in role-play format. ;D))

James wanted to work at EAS as so as possible so quickly wrote his role-play example using a lot of detail and "fanciness" so he could continue on his way. He looked up at his wife and smiled at her wondering why she would make him do this but it didn't matter to him anyway.

She better go easy on me because we're married. he thought.

He handed his role-play example to Ximena and waited for her to assess it.

This is fine. It's basic work. Continue to role-play like this. Welcome to East American School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Continue on to be sorted or join our staff.
